2.7 in Anyang or 2.2 in Seoul?

I live in Seoul and most days go to our office in Bundang. I like Seoul but having lived in several cities in Korea I know other places are fine too. We have positions in Anyang at42.7 mil for qualified people but some of our clients would rather Seoul at 2.2. I am worried people do not know what it is like and miss good opps. I guess we need better education on location! Working on it! www.asknow.ca

Hi jason:

Yeah, you're right about people sometimes being silly about where they want to work. I can understand people wanting to have access to all the delights of Seoul but new people need to realize how incredibly easy it is to get around over here and how close everything really is. This isn't The Great Plaines or like going from Dallas to Minot, N.Dakota.

Fact is that the reality is that usually most people can get more than enough fun into their lives locally during the weekdays.....at least if they're in a city like Anyang (or nearby Suwon where I teach).

In my previous posting, I was 45 minutes by bus from Seoul. That was very tolerable for me.

Plus, not always but sometimes, the administration in those non-Seoul schools, will do things for you that the administration in the Seould schools won't. The Seoul schools know that they've got plenty of applicants...i.e. they aren't 'humping to please' like some other schools are.

Also...the new ASKnow Wike and toolbar are AWESOME!! I'm really impressed. You guys are really setting the pace and the standard for quality in the ESL recruiting business here in Korea.

p.s. Don't forget to mention that Seoul has the best salsa dancing scene on the planet.
