Pics from Joey (thanks!)

Here are some pictures that Joey sent from the party. He and Justin were basically the only ones who remembered to bring something for the Kris Kringle, so they exchanged some funny gifts. Justin brought several varieties of everyone's favorite drink, Soju. And Joey was kind enough to bring a lovely Christmas sweater!

Dear Jason, It looks to me like all you are doing is signing people up for one big booze fest.Every picture that you have posted on your site, besides the ones that other people have taken , the people or so called teachers look hammerd or are on there way.

Dear Anonymous,

No, it's not just a big booze fest. All of the teachers work very hard and I'm sure they would be quite insulted that anyone would imply that all they do is booze it up. Teaching in Korea takes a lot of patience and dedication, and if people want to enjoy themselves on the weekend, that's great. We like to have a party every now and again, and if adults want to have a drink, they are more than welcome to do so.

Perhaps it would also be interesting to have more pictures of people in their classes teaching, but for the most part, taking pictures of your workplace is not what people tend to do. Teaching in Korea is not just about the job, it's about the experience of meeting new people from around the world, and enjoying yourself and discovering yourself in a whole new culture.

We also have plenty of information, pictures, and videos dedicated to the more academically focused. Perhaps you may enjoy those as well.
